Obviously, when buying cheap (used and Ebay) and/or renting out to unknown actors, that kind of fit isn't going to be achievable often. SCA also requires chinstraps, so there's plenty of other folks out there needing to put some kind of helmet retention device ... The former could get worn down/blasted away over time when using full load blanks- had that happen on a couple Pythons. The latter was more durable, but didn't look quite right in closeup. I've got a couple 3' or so whips, I think 12 plait, I think kangaroo... well made, feel good, but at that length they're really fast for someone used to a 6-12' bullwhip. These are little signal whips- good for cutting, cracking, shows on small stages... just not for wraps, huge noise, or swinging over chasms ala Indiana Jones. Might work for small puddles. A little light surface rust that needs cleaning up, but nothing bad. Auction said top venting but it's actually front venting. I'm pretty excited to try it out- I've only occasionally seen or heard of Reck guns for sale in the USA, and some of their models look pretty nice.
