Apparently it's a good year for The Producers. At least two local productions of it this Fall.

One's using an 8mm blank firing Walther P38, the closest thing I had in stock, but the other's got a really small space and felt the 8mm blanks were just too darn loud. At the same time, they didn't want to just use a sound cue and a non-firing Luger.

They were asking about .22 revolvers, and I decided I could give something different a try- this is one of the small starter pistols with ...

Gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in a couple things. One biggie is that the accessory rail isn't standard size. The grooves are spaced right, but it's half again as narrow as a standard weaver rail. Makes sense, since it's the width of the revolver barrel, but I hadn't really thought about it before, and you can't tell from the profile pictures.

Logos are there, but small and hard to see. With the main things ...

I own two PPKs which I picked up in 2006 while in germany for the world cup. both have stoped being able to fire properly and I've discovered the problem is the same on both blank guns. I am quite fond of these two peices as they look great and have been used on quite a few of my Bond spoofs.

The former could get worn down/blasted away over time when using full load blanks- had that happen on a couple Pythons. The latter was more durable, but didn't look quite right in closeup.

Hi, my name is Corey and I'm a filmmaker from Cincinnati. I've been making movies for a very small audience for the past four years or so, but now that I've got a group of about 20 dedicated, weathered people, I've put a fair bit of money down on equipment and we're trying to make a film that, if we're lucky, could attract SOMEone's attention. I was trying to research blank-firing guns, since none of our crew have the proper licenses to own real guns, and I stumbled on this forum. You guys ...

Anybody tried out any of the new Pandora models yet? I've got one, although I still haven't test fired it:

Overall impression? It doesn't feel quite as nice as the Voltrans I've got, more like the Kimar or Bruni models maybe, but then all of those jam a lot for me anyway, and 'the proof is in the pudding' as they say. Hopefully this one won't stovepipe all the time.

They've got a Desert Eagle model out now that's available in a couple finishes, and looks much nicer than the old ...

I happened to be in Hill City, SD last night where they stage live cowboy shootouts each evening. I noticed that the revolvers being used were front-venting models. Are they still available? Do the reenactors maybe use real steel w/ blank ammo? I didn't get a chance to talk with them & was just wondering.

I'm pretty excited to try it out- I've only occasionally seen or heard of Reck guns for sale in the USA, and some of their models look pretty nice. This is the first time I've actually gotten my hands on one.

Hopefully I'll get to clean it up, test it out, and ...

One of my gold standards for reviews is www.MyArmoury.com, because they have amazing photos and the people reviewing them generally know their stuff; it's not just 'gee, this is cool', but they're able to make comparisons to the museum originals, talk to the makers, ...

Very nice blued steel look, full trademarks, feels really solid. Came from the seller with Pachmeyer grips as well as the original wood.

This is my third gun from them, and at least in terms of looks and feel, I'm very happy with all of them. Only one I've used much at all was the Walther, and it did have ...

The following is from A US News Report on the upcoming court case about firearms restrictions in DC. It shows firearms seized by the D.C. Police:

Anybody else think this is an incredibly stupid way to secure a gun?

Checklist

Pro:

Safety is on.

Finger off trigger.

Con:

Magazine in gun. Maybe unloaded, who the heck knows, but a bad start.

Hammer back. Maybe no round in the chamber, ...

The UK laws seem to change every other day

The irony of a silencer on a gun whos only function is to go BANG seems ludicrous but of course I wanted one straight away . Who would,nt , right ?

Unfortunately they only work on forward ventors ...

Does anyone know what has happened to Schoessler's site? Last night it choked & came up like a dead link. This morning - the same: a default search-engine-type page comes up instead. Has their web address changed?

www.ssroom.com does not work.

Is this the correct place to begin with BFG questions?

If so, are Umarex 9mm PAK blanks corrosive? I've bought several of the newly-approved Ekol/Voltran BFG's & would like to know how meticulous I need to be with cleaning them.

Thanks...

http://mfgresearch.net/page2.html

I needed .44 magnum (5 in 1) blanks for a project, they are over a $1.00 each in town.

I recommend Joe Swanson for every other caliber but, 7.62 Russian (military is still cheapest).

Also looking to find 9mm PAK ammo for the Jackal, but I want to pay $15.00 ...

Nice job! We need this to fill the void since the last major entry in the BFG forum business has closed. Very well done; thank you!
