Anyone bought one of this? Any opinion on this? Looks like a nice model.

Bruni Beretta P4 Empty Funny you should ask...

Been wondering myself. Just scored one on eBay a week or two ago, but haven't gotten it yet. I'll try to give a full report when I get it in and can test it.

With that and my new Reck Colt Commander, I should probably get more 8mm blanks! Been mostly a 9mm blank collection, just doing 8mm for the Glocks since that's the only type I could find, but now that may be changing...

I see. Some update or review will be great. Not sure to get one for myself. It looks like a nice piece and looks 99.9% exactly the same as the PX4.

Just got it in today, snuck a quick peek while putting it in my car (I get packages at work).

First impressions: not at all bad for what it is. The synthetic stock looks and feels great. Beefy gun and fairly stiff- here's hoping an 8mm blank can really cycle it. Vent hole is straight at the top of the ejection port, barrel plugged with hard orange plastic (which I'll remove) and presumably metal partway through the barrel.

The metal parts still have that cast look up close- that kinda soft edges and such that marks it as cast metal rather than the crisp edges of machined steel. Looks like some vestigal mold flashing as well, but not bad.

Shame they couldn't get the trademarks, since it's otherwise an obvious copy, and marketed as such.

Hope to get a chance to test it sometime soon...ish... requires a trip to the range or a time when nobody else is in the house, and I don't get those often.

Thanks for the review Kevin. I'll go to the shop to have another look at it before I committed to buy.

Cheers.

Tried four shots, and it stovepiped one of them. May just need to be broken in.

As for the cast look- Only semiauto models I have that I wouldn't say that about are the Umarex P99 and the Reck Colt Commander... the latter has those slight grind marks, a grain almost, that is a dead giveaway that it was machined rather than cast. Some might call that sloppy finishing, but I kinda like it actually, and the lines are indeed crisper on it.

This is all stuff you only notice up real close, but if you're a collector who just likes fondling them that can make all the difference.

Compare to the Reck 1911 commander that I just posted also, and you'll see how this looks kinda cast and the Reck looks more machined.

Also not sure about the unusual shape of the chamber viewed through the ejection port... is the back end of the barrel funky like that on the real Beretta? Rounded in the back half, squared off in the front half.

Yes Kevin I think that's the real look of the Beretta PX4 too as it has got a rotating type barrel to counter recoil pressure. It's the same type of rotating barrel system that can also be found on the Cougar series.
