Hope your forum does great, it's certainly filling a void in the market.

I found this site on line:
http://mfgresearch.net/page2.html
I needed .44 magnum (5 in 1) blanks for a project, they are over a $1.00 each in town.
I will let you know how these turn out, at $20 for 50 (metal case), it's a great price.
I recommend Joe Swanson for every other caliber but, 7.62 Russian (military is still cheapest).

Also looking to find 9mm PAK ammo for the Jackal, but I want to pay $15.00 or less per 50. I bought a 500 lot from a whole saler in TX on gunbroker.com for $11.95 per 50, but they are out now, I think I helped there. If anyone has info, post away.

Good luck with the forum, Fight designer.

Thanks. Think I'll start some 'sticky' posts on sources of blanks, sources of guns, etc... this is good info, but what's really interesting to me about this is the drop-in barrels they offer for Glocks and Sigs. IAR-Arms sold the glock drop-in barrels briefly, but Glock made them stop and confiscated all of the barrels before I could pick one up.

Shame you missed out, there.
I really try to only buy the rarer more collectable stuff, then it goes into my collection after the movie.

For the regular/modern combat pistols I prefer to rent, foul up someone elses property.
But, for you as an armourer, drop in barrels would seem like a good idea;
Although I like Dean Wilkerson, my smith, doing the work, just to make absolutely sure the guns are configured to the type of blanks I can obtain.

Sportsman's Guide has 9mm PAK blanks for $17.97 (club price)/ reg. $19.97. However, my ordering experience w/ them (ONLY for this ONE order) has been lousy: they sent 9mm/.380 revolver blanks which were misnumbered at the warehouse; although they processed my return/exchange, I still don't have my order. The original order was Nov. 19; the return was received by them on 12/12 (call tag took forever to arrive.); when I had not received the exchange by 1/1, I emailed cust. svc.; they said the proper blanks were shipped 12/17 BUT "Without package protection we must wait until 1-14-08 before we could start trace paperwork. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Long story short - if you feel lucky, try them. They have never screwed up any other order of mine & I am a club member & regular customer. I will order again from them, but I think I'll either phone in any orders for blanks or be sure to add the comment that they must be Umarex 9mm PAK.

If anyone does know of a supplier who can beat $17.97 & is reliable, I'd like to know, too.

Rick

Good luck mate and congrats on starting this forum even though we guys in the UK cannot get hold of blank firers anymore (well unless we reenactor) there is still loads we can discuss on the models we have.
Info on film guns would be great to i know that generates loads of talk on modelguns forum or did so its going to be be good to carry on with those discussions. I also like the other parts of the forum on swords etc, as a 15th century reenactor it would be good to have somewhere to talk about swords and armour
Again thanks for starting this forum and good luck

Below you will find payment instructions. Invoices are automated.
Please disregard if you have already paid. If you have any questions or
concerns please email us at gunbroker@discountgunner.com.

You won the following item for only $15.95 per box.

10 X Fiocchi 9mmblank 9mm blank 50/20

Total $159.50

-- I bought about 500 of these PAK, and at the same price 500 of their 9mm crimped Fiocchi blanks for the UZI (low, low power, NG for sub-guns).
The PAK worked fine in the jackel.

They seem to have varying amounts in stock, their site could use some work.
