What floats your boat?

I've already been asked on another forum where I mentioned this why I seem to be limiting the conversation here to mostly the objects, rather than the arts that use them (martial arts, stage combat, stunt work, effects, moviemaking, directing... whatever).

Besides the event that prompted these forums (the cancellation of the blank firing gun forum) and my own business bias (props rentals), there's no reason- I'm happy to disucss all those and more, if people are genuinely interested.

So... what types of things are you looking for a venue to discuss?
